From Workdays to Wanderlust: Our El Salvador Adventure! 🇸🇻
Well, here we go again! This time, Our Life Rocks has landed in San Salvador, El Salvador, for a two-week adventure that combines a little business with hopefully a whole lot of exploring!
We're here primarily for work, which means our weekdays will be pretty busy. But anyone who knows us knows that we don't like letting an opportunity to explore somewhere new go to waste. After all, what's the point of traveling somewhere interesting if you don't get out and see what makes it special?
Our home base for the next couple of weeks is near La Gran VÃa, a popular shopping and entertainment area just outside San Salvador. It's a convenient spot to settle in, grab something to eat, and hopefully venture out to see more of the city when our schedules allow.
Just Getting Started
We've only been here about two and a half days, so we haven't had much of an opportunity to explore beyond getting settled in and finding our bearings. Between travel, work commitments, and adjusting to our temporary home away from home, the real sightseeing is still ahead of us.
But we've already started thinking about what we'd like to experience while we're here!
Volcanoes, Beaches & Whatever Else We Find!
One of the things we're most excited about is the possibility of visiting one of El Salvador's volcanoes. There's something pretty incredible about standing on or near a volcano, and we're hoping to make that happen during our free weekend.
We're also hoping to make our way to the Pacific coast. El Salvador is known for its beautiful beaches, dramatic coastline, and surfing communities. Even if all we manage is a relaxing afternoon by the ocean with some good food and a great view, we'd call that a win!
And, of course, we want to experience some authentic Salvadoran food. We've definitely got pupusas on our radar!
The Adventure Is Just Beginning
We don't have every detail planned out, and that's part of the fun. Sometimes the best memories come from the unexpected stops, spontaneous decisions, and little discoveries along the way.
For now, we're getting settled, taking care of business, and looking forward to seeing what El Salvador has in store for us.
We'll be adding photos, stories, and updates as we explore more of this beautiful Central American country.
Two weeks, one new country, and plenty of possibilities. Let the shenanigans begin!
